Southern California Rapid Transit District officials said that about 75 bus lines will be temporarily rerouted in the Los Angeles Civic Center area later this week due to the Los Angeles Street Scene and Columbus Day festivities. RTD bus service will be rerouted on Spring Street, between 1st and Aliso streets, from noon Thursday through 6 a.m. Monday. From 6 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday, Spring, Main, Los Angeles and San Pedro Streets, between 1st and Aliso, will be closed to all traffic. Also closed will be Temple Street, between Broadway and Alameda Street, and Broadway, between 1st and Aliso, city officials said. On Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., 8th and 9th streets, between Olive Street and Main; Temple, between Olive and Broadway, and Hill Street, between 9th and Temple will be closed during the Columbus Day Parade.
