Tustin : Fire Causes $140,000 Damage to Apartments

Fire caused an estimated $140,000 damage to an apartment complex Sunday morning but no one was injured, the county Fire Department said.
The fire broke out at 8:57 a.m. and struck three of eight apartment units at 17131 Altadena Drive, firefighters said. Residents of all the apartments were evacuated during the blaze, according to the Fire Department. The fire was controlled in 27 minutes. Fire Department dispatcher Joani Mattes said.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. It began in a downstairs apartment and spread to two upstairs units. Mattes said.
Damage was estimated at $80,000 to the structure and $60,000 to contents.
