Apartments for Elderly to Be Ready in Spring
THOUSAND OAKS — Hillcrest Inn, a housing development for senior citizens, is under construction here with completion scheduled next spring.
Frank Haffner, chief of operations for American Senior Inns of Costa Mesa, said the $12-million community apartment project at 405 Rodencamp Road is designed to “meet the needs of seniors in the over-75 age group.â€
There will be 149 apartments, primarily one-bedroom units. All have kitchenettes and private patios or balconies. The plan provides for a dining room, garden cafe, game room, parlor, library, beauty salon and barbershop.
Hillcrest Inn was designed by the San Diego firm of Martinez & Wong. The buildings will feature traditional Spanish architecture.
