Billy Drysdale Breaks Track Record in Cycling

Billy Drysdale of Huntington Beach broke the track record in the kilometer race to win the gold medal in the senior men’s division at the U.S. Track Cycling championships at Redmond, Wash.

Drysdale, riding for the Huntington Cycle Club of Huntington Beach, circled the Marymoor Park Velodrome track in 1 minute, 9.8 seconds for the record.

Drysdale, Matt and Mark Raynor and Tim Bengsten represented Southern California in the team pursuit race and finished fifth.
