Famed film director Vincente Minnelli, who died July 25, will be the subject of a public TV program that his daughter, Liza Minnelli, will host.
“Liza’s Dad,” a co-production of KCET Channel 28 and Gideon Productions, is due for broadcast on PBS early next year.
The program was in development before Minnelli died, officials at KCET said. It will consist of reminiscences by Liza and others who knew Minnelli, and of clips from his films, such as “Gigi,” “An American in Paris” and “Father of the Bride.”
Richard Schickel, film critic for Time magazine, will serve as producer, director and writer.
