Kayser Intimate Apparel of New York said it will close two manufacturing plants and one warehouse facility in Haleyville, Ala., and another plant in Cullman, Ala., because they were unprofitable. The sleep-wear and lounge-wear industry in the United States has been facing increased competition from cheaper imports. About 650 employees may be laid off.
