A Hollywood woman pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Municipal Court to eight counts of practicing dentistry without a license. Purificacion Santos Perez, 49, was arrested June 8 on two warrants, one dating back to 1980. She was accused by the city attorney’s office of performing dental or orthodontic work on 10 individuals, including an undercover investigator. Court Commissioner Joseph Spada said he intends to send Perez to jail for 90 days and place her on three years’ probation when he imposes sentence on Sept. 25. She will also be required to make restitution to her victims, he said.
