“HEADLINES.†Midnight Star. Solar. The title track is catchy, not unlike past dance hits this nine-member, Cincinnati-based band has racked up--â€No Parking on the Dancefloor,†“Freak-A-Zoid,†“Operator.†But there isn’t enough heavyweight material here. Belinda Lipscomb’s lush, full-bodied vocals on “Stay Here by My Side†make it worth a listen, but it still pales in comparison to the 1984 ultra-Star ballad “Slow Jam.†These kind of “Headlines†only rate a cursory scan. You’ll have to go back to the band’s previous hits for the full story.
