Culver City : Day Care Parking Law Revised
The City Council has revised a law regulating day care in large residential homes in Culver City, removing a portion that required day care owners to provide covered parking space for non-resident employees. The previous law, passed July 14, required that day care owners provide parking space in their garages or another enclosure for employees who do not live within the residence.
The law, however, still requires that day care business owners provide one parking space somewhere for non-resident employees. Applicants for residential day care businesses must apply for a conditional-use permit with the Planning Commission, which will review each application on a case-by-case basis and may add conditions for approval.
