A woman accusing three former Minnesota basketball players of raping her may have had a blood-alcohol level twice the count considered legal intoxication on the night of the incident, a defense witness testified.
Raymond Matejczyk, a forensic toxicologist, said the woman’s blood-alcohol level was 0.38 at 10 a.m. on Jan 24, several hours after the time she said she was assaulted. Legal intoxication in Wisconsin is 0.10.
Matejczyk testified before a Dane County Circuit Court jury in Madison, Wis., hearing the first-degree sexual assault trial of Mitchell Lee, Kevin Smith and George Williams Jr., all former University of Minnesota basketball players.
