A diver who was killed when he was sucked into the propeller of a ship he was inspecting off Richmond was identified as Timothy H. Baldi, 27, of Santa Rosa, U.S. Coast Guard officials said. The captain of the Spanish ship Encofrador, a 350-foot bulk cement carrier, had hired Baldi and another local diver to check the ship’s bottom after it hit a buoy.
