Westbound traffic on California 80 in Fairfield was “hog wild” for more than an hour after a truck overturned and spilled 62 large pigs onto the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said. Traffic was backed up for about five miles while CHP officers and a crew from the Fairfield Fire Department corraled the squealing critters. “The pigs and the truck were just everywhere,” a CHP spokeswoman said. She said the truck driver, whose name was not released, was not hurt.
