PANAMA, N.Y. — Floodwaters rushed through the streets Saturday after heavy rains caused a dam to overflow, forcing evacuations in two states, authorities said.
The area near the Pennsylvania-New York border was deluged by at least five inches of rain in four hours, National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Comeaux said in Pittsburgh. No injuries were reported.
