Argentine President Has Praise for Aquino

MANILA — Argentine President Raul Alfonsin exchanged views with President Corazon Aquino of the Philippines on common problems Friday but said later he shunned giving her any advice.
“She is an extraordinary fighter for democracy. She is intelligent. She knows her people. She loves her people. Therefore, I will not dare give her advice,” he told a press conference through an interpreter.
