All-Star game veterans Bruce Froemming and Paul Runge of the National League will head the six-man umpiring crew for the 57th annual All-Star game Tuesday night at the Houston Astrodome, Commissioner Peter Ueberroth announced.
The remainder of the crew will be rookies, including AL umpires Steve Palermo, Rick Reed and Tim McClelland. The other NL umpire will be Eric Gregg.
