State Land Title Group Elects John Collopy

John C. Collopy, chairman of the board of Founders Title Group, San Francisco, was elected 1986-97 president of the California Land Title Assn. at its annual convention at the Hotel del Coronado near San Diego.
Other new officers are Jerrel L. Guerino of Transamerica Title Insurance Co., San Francisco, first vice president; William B. Morrish, First American Title Guaranty Co., Oakland, second vice president, and Gary J. Pitts, Ticor Title Insurance Co., Los Angeles, treasurer.
Collopy, a real estate broker since 1949, has served as chairman of Founders Title Group since 1969. He is also senior vice president and western regional manager for Title Insurance Co. of Minnesota.
Founded in 1907, the association is a nonprofit trade group of 14 title insurance firms and 102 underwritten companies doing business in California.
