Liberty Weekend

We just celebrated a grand and glorious Fourth of July weekend, celebrating the birthday of Lady Liberty. Every time I saw her on television or her photo in the newspaper, I had a feeling that the espirit of Frederic Bartholdi was standing right behind her with his thumbs tucked into his suspenders and waving his fingers proudly and with a great big smile on his face--realizing that his gift to America, became a magnet that pulled us all together--as one family. That gift exceeded all of his expectations.

I am a senior citizen and I never in my life was prouder to be an American as I am now.
