Harmony Coalition a Cause of Discord

When I saw the Coalition for Harmony in Monterey Park demonstrating at City Hall last month, I saw more than just a rag-tag bunch of alien immigrants protesting against the English language. I saw it as a public expression of their hatred against American traditions and values, and most of all against the American people. Then the members of the coalition had the nerve a little while later to actually pledge allegiance to the American flag. What hypocrisy.

I realized then just how racist and bigoted the Coalition for Harmony is in refusing to use English and refusing to assimilate into our society. Far from being harmonious, as their name implies, the coalition is dividing and disrupting the communities in the San Gabriel Valley.

Now that the present leadership of Monterey Park is firmly asserting American values and the use of English, what will the coalition try next? Alien immigrants now are no longer expected to learn English as they once did, and with 4 million aliens entering our country every year, our American culture is in grave danger.

Let’s keep a close watch on those immigrants who protest against American values and refuse to be assimilated into our society--especially those insidious alien organizations that call themselves innocuous names like the Coalition for Harmony. Otherwise the unity of America will be broken up into racial territories which eventually will separate from our union.
