AMNESTY ATTENDEES

The very fact that Joan Baez was a part of the entire Amnesty International concert tour certainly contradicts the statement from Amy Wilson (Calendar Letters, June 29), who informs us that Baez is “no longer an influential musician-activist.”
The artists who participated in the Amnesty concerts were united in their purpose and dedication. Perhaps Wilson is the one who has “missed the purpose,” and heard only who she wanted to hear.
