A U.S. Navy oiler and a Liberian tanker loaded with crude oil collided just outside Long Beach Harbor, causing minor damage to the ships but no injuries, authorities said. The oiler Roanoke was bound for the Naval Station in Long Beach when it collided in patchy morning fog with the Mint Prosperity, a Liberian tanker headed to sea with 369,000 barrels of crude oil, said Navy Senior Chief John Chadwell.
