As many as one-third of the employees at an Agoura Hills supermarket have been fired in a security crackdown that allegedly uncovered thefts ranging from tiny bakery samples to cases of beer. Up to 19 wrappers, cashiers and clerks and others were reportedly caught in a two-week security sweep at the Ralphs Grocery Co. store at 5727 Kanan Road. The firings prompted a flurry of complaints from workers who claim they were tricked into confessing to minor acts of nibbling food after undergoing hours of interrogation by company security agents.
