President Reagan said in an interview that he sometimes wishes his 28-year-old son Ron would find “something more dignified†to do than write for Playboy magazine.

Reagan is not embarrassed that his son, a former ballet dancer, writes for Playboy, he said in an interview in this week’s edition of People magazine.

“I read the first article that he did for that magazine, and I was gratified to find that he has his own writing style and does very well. I don’t think he’ll be indulging in pornographic material,†he said.

But the President added:â€I could perhaps wish that he would find something more dignified.â€

On another subject, Reagan was asked whether he believes psychics are often correct, in light of a psychic’s prediction of the space shuttle Challenger explosion.

“I’ve found it difficult to write them off entirely,†the President said. “The Scriptures say there will be such people.â€

Reagan said that although he never has used a psychic, “I’ve often thought it would be handy if I was one sometimes.â€
