German Youths Riot After Rock Bar Closes
Associated Press
MUNICH, West Germany — About 100 teen-agers, many of them punk rockers, ran wild through part of Munich early Sunday after a rock bar closed, setting small fires, smashing store windows and battering parked cars, authorities said.
No one was hurt, and there was no immediate damage estimate. Fifteen youths were arrested for identity checks and released pending a court hearing today, a police official said.
He said the violence broke out in the Au district southwest of the city center after a popular rock bar closed for the night.
