Costa Mesa : Man Slightly Injured in Swap Meet Shooting
A Garden Grove man suffered minor injuries from a gunshot wound to his shoulder Saturday after an argument with two men in the parking lot of the weekend swap meet at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Police Sgt. George Yezbick said Michael K. Harris, 24, was a passenger in a car that was leaving the swap meet at the same time as two men in a small white car. Apparently the people in the two vehicles began arguing about who had the right of way.
“Words and gestures were exchanged,†Yezbick said.
Harris had gotten out of car to approach the two men when one of them apparently pulled out a handgun and shot him. Police are still searching for the two, who drove off. Harris was treated at a nearby hospital and released.
