Owners of the Cincinnati Reds will meet next Wednesday to discuss the future of Marge Schott, the club’s general managing partner who has been under fire in recent weeks.
The Cincinnati Post reported that Schott called the meeting with the Reds’ limited partners in an attempt to settle dissension within the organization.
“The only solution as I can see it at this point is for (Schott) to sell her shares in the club,” said one unidentified owner who is among several seeking ways to oust Schott. “But I’m so glad to hear we are going to sit down at the table. This meeting is extremely important because it involves the future direction of the Reds.”
