Murder charges have been filed against three teen-agers in the shooting death last Sunday of an Orange County high school girl near the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Carlos Chavez, 18, of Los Angeles, and two juveniles--a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy--were charged by the district attorney’s office in the murder of Suzanne Mohr Coleman, 16, of Santa Ana. Chavez, who is believed to have fired the fatal shot with a sawed-off rifle, is scheduled to be arraigned today in Los Angeles Municipal Court. The two juveniles are expected to be arraigned in Compton Juvenile Court. The incident occurred after Coleman was robbed of her purse near the Coliseum, where she had attended a motocross event with her boyfriend. According to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office Chavez is a gang member and the juveniles are associates of a gang.
