Thousands of demonstrators marched in three Haitian cities demanding that Lt. Gen. Henri Namphy, president of the ruling National Government Council, fire three of his cabinet members. The demonstrators in Cap Haitien, Gonaives and Jacmel called for the dismissals of Col. Williams Regala, a member of the ruling council; Aubelin Jolicoeur, the secretary of state for information, and Lesly Delatour, the finance minister.
