Israeli Justice Minister Yitzhak Modai plans to submit a new candidate for attorney general, Israel radio reported--a move that could result in the replacement of incumbent Yitzhak Zamir, who has offered to resign. Modai had demanded a probe into allegations that Israel’s internal security service, Shin Bet, was involved in the beating death of two Palestinians in 1984.
