Santa Monica : Dale Ride to Chair Trustees
Dale Ride, assistant to the superintendent at Santa Monica College, has been elected chairman of the California State University Board of Trustees. He succeeds Roy Brophy as chairman of the 23-member board, which oversees the 19-campus state college system.
Ride holds a master’s degree and doctorate from UCLA, and has been at Santa Monica College as a faculty member and administrator since 1956. He was appointed to the state college Board of Trustees in 1984.
