El Cajon
San Diego County Sheriff’s Department deputies have arrested Robert Geddis, 51, on suspicion of mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon and assault with caustic chemicals in the severe burning of Ann Ellen Tully, 30, with whom he shared a house on Sunview Drive in an unincorporated area near El Cajon.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to El Cajon Valley Hospital late Monday where Tully was being treated for burns on her back and legs from a blowtorch and chemical burns on her head and face. The attack apparently occurred Saturday, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said. Tully has been transferred to UC San Diego Medical Center, where she is listed in serious condition. Geddis was taken to County Jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond.
