WAC Tournament to Start Thursday at SDSU
SAN DIEGO — San Diego State will play host to the Western Athletic Conference baseball championships Thursday through Saturday at Smith Field on campus.
In Thursday’s games, Wyoming (28-17) plays Hawaii (36-20) at 3 p.m. and SDSU (39-20-1) faces New Mexico (26-19-1) at 7 p.m.
The losers play Friday at 11 a.m. and the winners play Friday at 3 p.m. The winner of Friday’s first game plays the loser of the second game Friday at 7 p.m.
The remaining two teams in the double-elimination championships will play Saturday at 2 p.m. If necessary, a second game will be played Saturday at 5 p.m.
SDSU won the WAC’s Western Division and Hawaii finished second. Wyoming won the WAC’s Eastern Division and New Mexico finished second.
The Aztecs, who won their last 15 conference games, have won 14 straight and 18 of their last 20 overall.
