The Chicago Cubs released studies measuring the economic impact of the team on Chicago and neighborhood attitudes toward the possibility of lights being installed at Wrigley Field.

One of the studies, a survey of residents within a mile of the stadium, indicates that only 185 of 400 interviewed actively oppose the installation of lights at Wrigley Field, the only major league park without facilities for night baseball.

According to the survey, 54% of those polled favor either unlimited night games at Wrigley Field, or the Cubs’ recent compromise proposal of 18 regular-season night games. It also said that 72% want the Cubs to stay in Wrigley Field with 18 regular-season night games, rather than move to a new stadium.
