Stevenson Picks Running Mate
Associated Press
CHICAGO — Adlai Stevenson announced today that Cook County Circuit Judge Michael Howlett Jr. will be his running mate in his independent bid for the governor’s seat. Howlett, 37, immediately resigned as judge to run for lieutenant governor.
