Nichols Institute said it has named William A. Mahan senior vice president and chief financial officer. Before joining the San Juan Capistrano-based developer of clinical tests for hospitals, laboratories and physicians, Mahan was vice president and chief financial officer for Wrather Corp., of Beverly Hills. He replaces Robert K. Gentry, who has been named vice president for corporate development, a new position at the company.
