ARTS : Fans Wait Hours for Dylan Tickets
It wasn’t much of a line in terms of rock ‘n’ roll history, but it showed the staying power of one of R&R;’s greats, Bob Dylan.
One of his two concerts planned for Southern California in June will be at Costa Mesa’s Pacific Amphitheatre, and more than 800 fans waited for hours at the amphitheater ticket office to get at the tickets.
Those willing to wait were a diverse lot. “He’s one of the legends of rock ‘n’ roll and just to see him is bitchin’,†said a 20-year-old Orange Coast College student.
“He was saying a lot of things that people can’t articulate very well. He sings terrible, but he writes good lyrics,†said a 51-year-old fan.
