Loyola Marymount, scoring 11 runs in the fourth inning and 10 more in the fifth, set a school single-game record by routing USF, 34-11, in a West Coast Athletic Conference baseball game Friday at Loyola.

Steve Polk, who finished with seven runs batted in, and Billy Bean both hit grand slams for the Lions, who lead the league with an 11-1 mark (33-7 overall).

Loyola’s Mark Stomp worked five innings to improve his record to 12-1, also a school record for a season. The previous mark for runs in a game was 28, set in 1935.
