Liss Engineering Wins Award for Lighting Design

Liss Engineering Inc. of Tustin has received the Award for Excellence in Lighting Design from the Illuminating Engineering Society.
Debbie DeMello of Liss accepted the award for her design of the Skyroom restaurant located on the top floor of the Breakers Hotel in Long Beach. The lighting features neon tubing encircling columns and multicolored neon back-lighting of glass-block walls.
The restaurant is in Art Deco design reminiscent of the hotel’s 60-year history.
Interior design and architecture was by Scheer-Braden of Santa Ana, and construction by Mike Harrison Construction of Tustin.
