San Diego County sheriff’s deputies said Thursday they confiscated two pounds of cocaine and arrested a Southeast San Diego couple on suspicion of operating a drug-dealing business out of their home.
Thomas Ramsey, 39, and Nola Jean Ramsey, 33, were arrested at their home in the 1800 block of Zellar Street at 5 p.m., after a monthlong investigation led deputies to believe the couple was selling quarter and half-gram amounts of cocaine, said Sgt. Brian Roberts.
Other narcotics and $3,500 in cash were also seized at the house, Roberts said.
Each was charged with one count of possession of drugs, possession of drugs for sale and running a drug-selling business, a spokeswoman at the County Jail said.
Thomas Ramsey was released from the downtown jail Friday afternoon on $5,000 bail, and his wife was released the same day from the County Jail at Las Colinas on the same amount of bail, the spokeswoman said.
