WTA Set to Move Its Headquarters

MIAMI — The Women’s Tennis Assn. will move its headquarters from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to suburban Miami, it was announced.
The move, to be effective around May 1, was announced at a news conference in New York by WTA Executive Director Merrett Stierheim.
The executive headquarters will be in the Grand Bay Plaza on South Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove. The WTA’s home facility will be the Sheraton Royal Biscayne Beach Resort and Racquet Club on Key Biscayne.
At the Sheraton Royal, site of the Virginia Slims of Florida the past two years, players will be able to practice and the WTA will provide hotel rooms.
