A Long Line of Peace March Supporters

I want to acknowledge Kathleen Hendrix for her excellent article on the PROPeace March. For once I felt a reporter captured a very objective and honest accounting of all aspects of this movement.

My boyfriend is a participant in the march, and I am hungry for some factual information above and beyond the 60-second obituaries conducted by the local television and radio stations in Los Angeles. A few times he has managed to call me from the road and usually the first thing he tells me is to ignore what I’ve been hearing in the news. He called me from Barstow and essentially confirmed everything that was printed in the March 14 article by Hendrix.

That is responsible reporting, and reading it gave me the first peace of mind since the marchers left Los Angeles.
