Huntington Beach : Development Council to Hold Public Forum
The Community Development Council, a private, nonprofit organization that serves low-income and elderly people countywide, is looking for ways to better serve the county’s needy.
At a forum to be held Wednesday in Huntington Beach, “we hope to get input from the people as to what they perceive to be the needs of low-income people in their communities,†said Jim Hamlett, public information officer for the development council.
Those suggestions will be passed on to the council’s planners, Hamlett said.
The development council is asking individuals and social-service agencies to suggest more ways to help at its forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the City Council Chambers, 2000 Main St., Huntington Beach.
