The Kings, by defeating Buffalo, 5-3, Saturday night at the Forum, broke a nine-game losing streak at home and an eight-game winless streak overall.

Center Marcel Dionne needs two points to pass Phil Esposito and become the No. 2 all-time scorer in National Hockey League history with 1,591 points. Dionne needs one assist to become the No. 2 all-time assist leader with 927, passing Stan Mikita’s 926.
