Two men were arrested in the robbery of a West Los Angeles supermarket. Los Angeles police said two men entered the Alpha Beta Market at 9616 Pico Blvd., announced the holdup and began collecting money from several clerks. They also forced the manager to open the safe and stuff cash into shopping bags. However, before they could flee, a security guard walked into the market, pulled his gun and fired at the robbers, police said. One suspect was captured by the guard and police found the second man minutes later. The suspects were identified as Bobby Lee Edward, 30, and Ricky Bernard Hall, 32. Both were booked on suspicion of robbery.
