Nine people were injured, three of them seriously, in a three-car collision Saturday night in the 8000 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sunland, Los Angeles police said Sunday.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. when a car driven by Sean Bradley, 18, of Granada Hills, turned onto Foothill Boulevard from Rhodesia Street and grazed another vehicle driven by William Craig, 19, of Tujunga, traffic Sgt. Curtis Fesler said. Craig swerved into the opposite lane, hitting the third car, driven by Moody Denniston, 54, of Thousand Oaks, Fesler said.

Craig, who suffered a broken back, and a passenger in his car, Kenny Webb, 19, of Tujunga, who sustained multiple fractures, were in serious condition Sunday at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, a hospital spokeswoman said. Mark Badgwell, 21, also of Tujunga, a second passenger in Craig’s car, was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank with multiple fractures, Fesler said. Badgwell also was listed in serious condition.

Cristal Myron, 8, of Tujunga, one of six passengers in Denniston’s car, also was airlifted to St. Joseph Medical Center, but with less serious injuries, police said. Denniston and four other passengers, Donald Myron, 10; Michael Denniston, 13, and Linda Denniston, 34, all of Tujunga, were treated for minor injuries at Serra Memorial Hospital in Sun Valley, Fesler said. The sixth passenger, Jerry Denniston, 15, also of Tujunga, who suffered cuts to his face and arms, was treated at Verdugo Hills Hospital

Only Bradley was uninjured, police said. No one was cited as a result of the accident, Fesler said.
