The unscupulous mom ‘n’ pop B&B; is the biggest threat to the B&B; lodging industry in America. These greedy amateurs open with the mistaken idea that all they have to do is provide a bed (no matter how lumpy) and breakfast (no matter how mediocre) and they can charge (and get) $100 a night. Wrong!
My potential guests are not going to be turned off to the B&b; concept by trying a motel masquerading as a B&B.; No, the danger is having their first experience in a homestay and thinking, “This is a B&B;? and then never trying the Beazley House.
Keep up the good work, Jerry. Keep naming names. Be specific. Those of us who have dedicated our professional lives and fortunes to innkeeping applaud you.
