San Diego Deputy Police Chief Ken O’Brien has been approved for appointment as the chief investigator of attorney misconduct for the State Bar of California, after an investigation into claims that he sexually harassed subordinates. The claims, made by current and former police officers, were raised by state Assemblywoman Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles). However, the claims were not substantiated by the State Bar’s probe, president David Heilbron said. O’Brien, 51, will direct a new office to investigate attorneys charged with misconduct.
