Fullerton’s Women Beat Saddleback, 87-72
Sandie Lamb scored 18 points and Sandy Cotton added 17 to lead the Fullerton College women’s basketball team to an 87-72 win over Saddleback in a Shaughnessy playoff game played in the Hornets’ gym at Fullerton.
The win gives Fullerton a berth in next week’s Southern California Regionals and also marks 17-year Hornet Coach Colleen Riley’s 400th victory. Connie Waikle scored 33 points and Cheryl Eiland added 26 for the Gauchos in a losing effort.
