You Could Say Foul Play Cost UCLA a Victory
- Share via
In analyzing the box score of the recent USC-UCLA basketball game, I harkened back to Coach John Wooden’s startling string of championship seasons. In winning, his teams consistently committed many less fouls while, at the same time, converting a higher percentage of free throws than their opponents.
Applying these factors, if we reverse the foul-free throw performances of the two teams in last Saturday’s game, UCLA wins handily, 75-68. Interesting?
