USIU Loses Despite 8-Point Lead at Half

Eric Jeter and Daryl Mackey each scored 22 points to lead Utica College to a 97-92 victory over United States International University Thursday night in Utica, N.Y.

The Gulls (8-19) led 54-46 at halftime, but Jeter scored 14 of his points in the second half to lead the comeback by the Pioneers (13-14).

USIU guard Joe Yezbak, the nation’s third-leading scorer, led all scorers with 27 points on 13-of-25 shooting.
