3 Homers Lead Arizona State Over CSUN

TEMPE, Ariz. — Mike Benjamin, Roger Smith and Steve Mariucci all hit home runs and freshman pitcher David Cassidy won his second game of the year as Arizona State beat Cal State Northridge, 9-5, in a nonconference baseball game here Tuesday.
Junior Tony Harris pitched the final four innings for the Sun Devils, striking out eight and earned his second save.
Cassidy evened his record at 2-2 for the Sun Devils (16-5), while Dan Gonzalez (0-1) took the loss for Northridge (4-4). Scott McIntyre homered with nobody on for CSUN.
